Thus, companies need to have sufficiently broad views and in-depth knowledge and thoughts about the potential changes. For example, strategic planning makes it possible to draw up clear ideas regarding the provision of quality patient care and the effectiveness of the performance of official duties, which is the main task of any medical institution (Johnson, 2017). This will allow specialists to estimate the number of possible clients and those needing medical care. This mechanism helps identify and establish the ways to provide medical services following external forces, new trends, behavioral patterns, and people’s needs (Johnson, 2017). In addition, as a result of the implementation of all stages of strategic planning, volumes of medical care are formed within the framework of the state guarantees program. Also, the volume and financial standards of medical care are determined and the key indicators of the activities of medical organizations. Based on the general conclusions and decisions, a healthcare modernization program is being formed.

In conclusion, strategic planning is the main management function and the core of the management subsystem of the healthcare system. This process implies the activity of goal setting, forecasting, and planning of the development of a medical institution and the quality of work performed by employees. This mechanism is extremely necessary for the survival and development of any institution providing medical services. It helps to look forward to the future to make plans and calculations that allow you to determine a competent position of doing business, fulfilling responsibilities and responsibility for patients’ lives. In addition, due to planning, professionals in the healthcare area can draw up a comprehensive plan designed to ensure the implementation of the organization’s mission and the achievement of its goals.
