The UAE has rapidly become one of the world’s leaders in technological innovation, infrastructure and trade. The country has had the ability develop in an unprecedented pace, set in part by its Prime Minister and Leader of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The man has remarkable leadership qualities, that are best seen in his approach to directing the country’s development. One of the defining qualities of the man is his power of persuasion.
Having the responsibility of leading a nation, Mohammed has displayed an ability to make people listen to him. By using his influence and good sense of direction, the man has instructed the architect to construct the technical marvel to become what it is today. Mohammed is also known for promoting innovation in all areas of Dubai, including infrastructure, culture and day-to-day life. The man’s plans are often ambitious, but ultimately convincing in their grand nature.

Mohammed values the work and input of others, noted for being attentive to the advice of experts. The official meetings in Emirates have an informal system of organization, which encourages people to feel more open and comfortable. The man has also demonstrated an ability to plan various activities while understanding their benefits in a long-term perspective. The mystery shopper program introduced by the leader was a tactical attempt at finding problems with business in Dubai and addressing them in an effective manner (Salim, 2020). The initiative not only allowed Mohammed to find capable people in their respective fields, but also mend those structures that are not efficient in their operation. The creation of the Dubai Metro was another example of successful strategic planning. Some of the government officials were against the idea, but Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum saw the project through and ensured its successful operation.

The steps the Vice-President took to make his subordinates comfortable show that he understands what triggers are useful for encouraging others, and has the ability to empathize with his subjects. Motivation is crucial to promoting positive outcomes, and the positive treatment Mohammed’s close allies receive reflects the ability to address this need (Wam, 2018). The man’s treatment of inadequate upper management during the mystery shopper program is a display of the ability to solve problems and address their root causes. Areas of Improvement – Considerations for Risk and opportunity
While the man’s personal and professional qualities characterizes him as a capable leader, it is important to note that his decisions were often made while shouldering high risks. While most of the proposals offered by Mohammed have succeeded, it is nevertheless dangerous to take unjustified risks for the sake of growth and development.
