PepsiCo Inc. is a multinational food and beverage corporation of global significance. It was created by Donald Kendall and Herman Lay, the CEOs of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay, respectively, to deliver “perfectly-salty snacks served alongside the best cola on earth” (About the Company par. 1). In the present day, the company has seven divisions, including Frito-Lay North America; PepsiCo Beverages North America; Quaker Foods North America; Europe; Latin America; Asia Pacific, Australia/New Zealand and Greater China; and Africa, Middle East, and South Asia (About the Company par. 4). The most well-known brands of PepsiCo company are Pepsi, Mirinda, 7up, Lay’s, Doritos, Tostitos, Cheetos, Munchies, Mountain Dew, Lipton, Tropicana, and Aquafina.

PepsiCo Inc. aims to produce and deliver nourishing and delicious products to its consumers, be a respectable partner driven by innovations, conserve natural resources, and provide opportunities for its employees’ professional and personal development. The company’s mission is to “create more smiles with every sip and every bite” (Mission & Vision par. 1). At the same time, it is planning to be a leader in the global market of food and beverages. All in all, the company’s ambitions are justified by its total revenues, global distribution, brand awareness, and customer loyalty.

The main competitor of PepsiCo Inc. is The Coca-Cola Company which focuses on the manufacturing and distribution of non-alcoholic beverages all over the world. At the same time, PepsiCo company has a major competitive advantage reflected in its diversified portfolio. In other words, in contrast with Coca-Cola, PepsiCo sells food as well. As a result, the resources and capacities allow this company to operate in more than 200 states across the globe with net revenues of $70 billion and $79.5 billion generated in 2020 and 2021, respectively (About the Company par. 2; PepsiCo Inc. par. 1).
